A Little About Confetti and Crayons

Where childcare experience meets a love of weddings

Hi, I'm April, founder of Confetti and Crayons Wedding Childcare. I've been working with children since 2007. Caring for, supporting and educating little ones has been at the heart of my career ever since. My childcare journey began as a nursery nurse working in day care.

I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development, a degree in Early Years Care and Education and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). For the past three years, I've worked as a primary school teacher, building on more than a decade of experience working with children and families. I am also first aid trained.

Confetti & Crayons was inspired by my own experience as both a mum and a bride. I created this because I don't believe parents should have to choose between having their children involved in their wedding and being able to enjoy the day themselves. My aim is for children to feel happy, included and cared for, while giving parents the reassurance that allows them to be present for those once-in-a-lifetime moments.
